Losing your hair is hard, but gaining it back shouldn’t be. At IHRS, we care about your hair loss and how it affects you. That’s why we offer a variety of non-surgical replacement and restoration solutions created exclusively to meet the unique challenges of male and female hair loss.

Sensigraft
Sensigraft is the latest in hair restoration technology designed specifically for men that suffer from the effects of hair loss. This non-invasive hair graft is made from the finest in human or synthetic hair that appears so natural, it actually looks like real growing hair!

Virtual Reality
A perfect marriage of science and nature, the Virtual Reality system is the best natural-looking hair replacement for men anywhere. Made from real human hair, it can hold up to any activity from swimming to playing around in the yard. Exclusively available at IHRS, Virtual Reality is like a second skin that you never know is there.

Laser Hair Therapy
Low-Level Laser Hair Therapy is a revolutionary, non-surgical treatment for men and women. Laser Hair Therapy works by increasing the blood supply to the scalp, which then stimulates hair follicles, increases hair strength and repairs hair damaged due to chemicals. This treatment allows you to develop the thicker and fuller hair that you’ve always wanted.

ReAllusions
ReAllusions is not a wig or a hairpiece. ReAllusions is a non-surgical hair replacement solution for women suffering from thinning hair and hair loss. This system offers a seamless bridge between your own growing hair and the hair that has been reconstructed. Using a non-invasive skin-like membrane grafted to your scalp's own layers of skin, ReAllusions significantly increases your hair density and provides a completely natural appearing front hairline that is undetectable to both touch and sight.

Virtuesse
Virtuesse by Virtual Reality is a state-of-the-art non-surgical hair replacement solution that’s designed specifically for women. Using real human hair this system is customized to match your natural color and give you exactly the coverage, length, and style you want. Virtuesse is an undetectable attachment that can be treated just like your naturally growing hair. With Virtuesse, wave goodbye to your hair loss problems.

Common Reasons for Hair Loss in Women

Have you ever wondered why you are losing hair if your family doesn’t have a history of hair loss? Unfortunately, genetics are not always the culprit behind hair loss — so, what could be causing the loss? At IHRS we care about you and we are committed to finding not only the best treatment that perfectly suits your needs, but also the cause of your problem. The only way to accurately determine the reason for hair loss is by scheduling a FREE hair and scalp analysis at IHRS. In the mean time, we've comprised a list of the causes of hair loss.

Six Factors That May Cause Hair Loss:
Heredity (Family History)
Hormones
Telogen Effluvium
Medical Conditions
Medications
Unbalanced Diet

Heredity (Family History)
This is the most common cause of hair loss in both men and women that leads to male or female-pattern baldness. Genetics dictates at which age most hair loss starts, its rate and the extent of hair loss. Loss can start as early as puberty. The path in which baldness is likely to follow can be determined by a pattern of hair loss. See the chart below for details.

Hormones
Hormone levels vary when a woman is pregnant, right after giving birth and during menopause. Hormone variations play a major role in the likelihood of hair loss for women because of their influence in hair growth regulation. Another factor may stem from thyroid malfunction, known as Hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism means you have an underactive thyroid gland that produces fewer hormones then it should, ultimately affecting the hair growth cycle.

Telogen Effluvium
This is a phenomenon that happens after traumatic experiences both physically and mentally, such as major surgeries, extreme stress or drastic weight loss. Every person has a 3-phase hair growth cycle, being the growth phase, the rest phase and the shedding phase. When someone goes through a traumatic event, the hair cycle deregulates and pushes more hair into the shedding phase, causing hair loss. This case is noticeable three to six months after the stressful event.

Medical Conditions
Alopecia areata is a type of nonscarring hair loss that happens when the body’s immune system attacks hair follicles causing hair loss. Other medical conditions can be scalp infections such as ringworm, skin disorders that cause scarring alopecia, some types of lupus, sarcoidosis, lichen planus, and hair pulling disorder, also known as trichotillomania, where the person has an irresistible urge to pull hair either from the scalp, eyebrows or other areas.

Medications
Hair loss can be caused by medications or treatments. Some drugs used to treat arthritis, heart problems, depression, high blood pressure, birth control, and drugs used in chemotherapy can all cause hair loss.

Unbalanced Diet
Lastly, eating an unbalanced diet can be one of the causes as well. The exaggerated intake of some foods or vitamins, like vitamin A or the lack of consumption of protein, for example, can be triggering hair loss. It is extremely important to have a balanced diet for the proper function of your body and if you don’t know exactly what is good for and required by your body, do not hesitate in seeing a doctor that can give you some advice.

These are just a few of the known factors to cause hair loss in women. We recommend scheduling a free hair and scalp analysis with a hair loss expert at IHRS to accurately determine the reason for loss and the proper hair restoration option for you. Hair4Me.com
