According to US National Library of Medicine website Platelet Rich Plasma PRP is scientifically known as autologous blood with concentrations above baseline levels containing at least seven growth factors. The Past, Present and Future of Hair Restoration

During the turn of the 20th century, a device called the Evans Vacuum Cap introduced to the hair loss community a suction hat-like device that worked to recirculate stagnant blood flow in a similar fashion as a vacuum.
