FUT & FUE - What's The Difference?

Follicular Unit Transfer (FUT) -

The FUT method involves surgically removing a section of the scalp from the donors head, also called the "strip method". Once the hair follicles are extracted from the donor strip, they are redistributed across the scalp. While scarring is minimal, this technique leaves a linear scar that makes shorter hair styles difficult. Even though this procedure has a longer recovery time, the results include greater coverage, density, and a natural, age-appropriate-looking hair line.


Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) -

With the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method there is no need to excise a piece of the scalp because the hair follicles are removed directly and individually from the donor area. Since this technique doesn't involve removing a strip of skin from the scalp, clients have the benefit of no incision marks or visible scarring, leaving little to no risk of complications. There is very little recovery time, less activity limitations, and the results are said to look much more natural than the traditional strip method.
