1. Twist and Clip
Begin by separating your hair into sections and twist each section tightly. The smaller each section, the tighter the curl. Next, coil the twisted section and pin it to the top of your head. Once your hair has air dried, remove the clips and separate the strands. Don’t run your fingers through the hair — just toss your hair around so that the curls come apart naturally.
2. Rod Rollers
Start by rolling 1- to 2-inch sections of wet hair into small, flexible rod rollers. Be sure to wrap the hair away from your face. Once hair has air dried, remove rollers, flip your head over and lightly run your fingers through your hair to break up the curls. If needed, spritz hair spray for extra hold.
1. Braided Waves
Begin by separating your wet hair down the middle into two even sections. Then, braid the sections tightly and finish by tightening the ends with a hair tie. Gently unbraid your hair when it’s dry. Once both braids have been undone, gently separate the waves with your fingers.
2. All Bunned Up
Starting with damp hair, flip your head over, twist all your hair and roll it into a bun at the top of your head. Undo bun once hair has dried for loose waves.
1. Keep Your Cool
Dry hair upside down using the cold setting of the hair dryer and a round brush. While the heat setting would be the quicker option, using the cold setting will allow for a smoother, shinier, end result.
2. On a Roll
Start by rolling your hair into a couple of large soft rollers and remove once hair is dried. Using a large paddle brush, brush through your hair. This will leave your hair straight but with lots of volume.
